About

Hello written in colorful frosting punctuated with a cupcake

♡ Welcome ♡

Hi Friends! Ayanna here, and welcome to my doll house. I’m a neuro spicy Millennial, dog mom, and life long simmer. I started playing the sims on GameCube waaaay back in the day and have had a love for it ever since (although it’s getting harder to keep defending them). I switched to Sims Free play later in life (for the convenience I guess) and it really had me in a chokehold for awhile. “Fortunately”, The Sims 4 base game became “free” and I was saved from one addiction only to be hurled into an even worse one. #Yikes

What this blog's about

As a recovering Type A personality, I have a compulsive need to track and document everything in my game. As hard as I’ve tried, I fear it’s one of my many character flaws I can’t shake.

My previous means of tracking involved extensive and boring spreadsheets which, high key, I kind of loved but it wasn’t enough. I wanted more visual and storytelling elements that no amount of clever spreadsheet formatting could accommodate.

So Boom! This blog was born.

As an added bonus I get to express my appreciation and undying gratitude to all the amazing creators who make my sim doll house a reality.

And if you’re a creator who generously shares your creations with the less talented, on this blog you can see just how much joy you’ve given to myself and this community.

I mean haven’t you ever wondered “what the heckenbob are these people doing with my creations?” Well I can’t speak for everyone else but over here, a time is being had okay?! And you can see it first hand throughout the pages of this blog.

I cannot say thank you enough to anyone who has ever uploaded a build, a mod, or sim for us to use freely. Your contributions literally make my day so much better!

If you’re ever in need of a reminder of just how amazing you are, please come back to this page as often as you need. You matter so sooo soooo much to me and you’ll always be met with love here.

More about me

If it wasn’t already clear, I’m such an absolute simmer fan girl. As someone who primarily uses The Sims 4 to combat my anxiety, perfectionism, and fear of change, I’m not particularly interested in doing things that are triggering.

This includes CAS and build/buy. I find them both overwhelming and don’t enjoy either often.

This is why I absolutely adore simmers who do! Life is stressful enough and thanks to you I can mindlessly enjoy my sims hobby.

Outside of The Sims I enjoy bingeworthy tv shows, music that makes me feel stuff, and naps. Lots and LOTS of naps!

I tend to become obsessive when I find things I love (if this blog hasn’t already made that clear). My current obsessions are Attack on Titan and Solo Leveling. I would hardly call myself an anime fan but …

they are basically my entire personality now 🫠

I may or may not have an unhealthy infatuation with Gojo preventing me from finding men attractive irl, but that’s a future me problem.

I also have a bleeding heart for people who’ve been made to feel unwelcomed, odd/weird, or lame just for being themselves.

Being different isn’t a burden it’s a blessing; although it may not feel like it when you’re a outsider looking in.

If you’re a person who doesn’t always catch social cues and have felt shame for your honesty, you will never be made to feel that way here.

I think neurodiverse and other individuals on the spectrum are cool af, and you are free to be yourself here 💗
