Celebrate Pride Month In The Sims With These Three Incredible LGBTQ+ Sims 4 Creators
The Sims community has always been one of the most creative corners of the internet, but one of the things I love most about it, is how many creators use their talents to make our games feel more inclusive, representative, and reflective of the real world. Whether it’s through custom content, gameplay mods, or entire save files, these creators are helping players tell stories that deserve to be told.
In honor of Pride Month, I wanted to spotlight three amazing creators who each bring something unique to The Sims 4. One adds personality and color to our spaces, another expands the stories we can tell, and the third filles our neighborhoods with diverse sims and communities. Together they create a game that feels richer, more authentic, and full of the kind of representation that makes so many players feel seen.
1 – The Gayborhood Save File
Creator – KevTheBuilder
If you’ve ever loaded into a fresh save and thought, “Where my tribe at?” then The Gayborhood Save File might be exactly what you’ve been looking for.
This project reimagines all of San Myshuno with LGTBQ+ sims at the center of the story. Instead of random ugly townies you’ll have to give makeovers to, you’ll find thoughtfully created households filled with unique personalities, relationships, identities, and backstories that make the world feel alive from the moment you hit play.
What I love most is that this isn’t just a collection of sims dropped into houses. It feels intentional. The neighborhoods have character. The residents have connections. There are friendships, romances, chosen families, and community ties that create endless storytelling opportunities before you’ve even entered CAS.
For players who love rotational gameplay, legacy challenges, storytelling, or simply exploring the lives of interesting sims, this save file offers a refreshing change of pace. It creates a world where LGBTQ+ stories aren’t hidden in the background; they’re woven directly into the fabric of the community.
And if we’re being honest, the sims is at its best when the worlds feel lived in and The Gayborhood Save File absolutely delivers on that front.
2 – Queer Joy Build/Buy CC Set
Creator – alibuilds
Representation isn’t just about gameplay mechanics or storylines. Sometimes it’s about the spaces we create.
The Queer Joy CC set is a beautiful collection of 12 loud and proud build/buy items serving as a reminder that our sims homes, community lots, and gathering spaces deserve to be as loud and proud as they are. Not only does this set celebrate pride boldly, it’s also a celebration of self-expression and identity.
From colorful decor to thoughtful details that make a room feel welcoming and lived-in, this collection brings warmth and personality to every build it touches. What really made this set stand out for me was that it feels joyful rather than performative. Every item feels like something that actually belongs in whatever space you place it.
I can literally picture vibrant apartments in San Myshuno, cozy cafes filled with local artists, community centers hosting Pride events, and family homes where sims can proudly express who they are. Those little details matter. They help transform a build from “just another lot” to a space that feels personal and meaningful.
Whether you’re a dedicated builder or someone who spends more time decorating than actually playing (no judgement here), this set is an easy recommendation.
You can download this set for free here.
3 – Learning With Pride Mod
Creator – Make_it_Sizzle
The save file brings representation to the community and the build/buy set brings it into our spaces, but the Learning With Pride Mod injects it directly into our gameplay in the best ways!
One of the biggest strengths of The Sims has always been storytelling, and this mod expands the ways players can explore identify, inclusivity, allyship, and LGBTQ+ experiences within our saves. It introduces educational and meaningful interactions that help create stories with more depth and authenticity while still fitting naturally into the game.
What I appreciate most is that this mod isn’t trying to replace storytelling, it enhances it with new educational material, rabbithole activities, social interactions, holiday traditions, and more. This mod provides new opportunities for sims to learn, grow, and engage with the topics that are important to so many players. The result is gameplay that feels more thoughtful, more representative, and ultimately more reflective of the diverse world we live in.
Mods like this are a perfect example of why the sims modding community is so special. When gaps are identified in gameplay, talented creators step up and build experiences that make the game better for everyone.
This gameplay mod is available for free download here.

Final Thoughts
One of the things that makes the sims community so incredible is the sheer number of creators who pour their time, talent, and passion into making the game more welcoming and inclusive. These creators may approach representation in different ways, but they all share the same goal: creating spaces where more players can see themselves, tell their stories, and feel at home.
Whether you’re downloading a new save file, decorating a colorful community space, or adding meaningful gameplay features through mods, every one of these creations helps make The Sims 4 a little richer and a little more representative of the diverse world around us.
So this Pride month (and beyond), consider showing these creators some love, downloading their work (pledge if you can), and celebrating the creativity that continues to make this community one the best parts of The Sims.
Happy Pride Month Simmers! 🏳️🌈
That’s all for now friends!
Stay Kind, Until next time 💋
